This awning window replaces the fixed glass panel on your Ram ProMaster, whether it is in the sliding door or forward side position. The glass is hinged at the top and tilts outward from the bottom on struts, turning that sealed section into a controlled vent. When you're parked, sleeping inside, or working out of the van, that opening lets air move through the cabin instead of leaving the panel closed off.
With the glass tilted out, the mesh screen keeps insects from entering through the opening so the van can vent overnight or at camp. The pleated shade gives you a way to cover the window when you're sleeping inside or leaving tools and gear in the van. You can use the screen and shade together, separately, or retract both for a clear view.
The ProMaster panels sit at eye level from outside and create a direct view into the cargo area. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
Cutting into a ProMaster panel is permanent. The frame has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the body. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane is applied around the perimeter. When the window is set into place, that urethane bonds the frame to the body panel and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the wall cavity. This bond holds the window in place and creates the weather barrier so you can vent the van through the sliding door without letting water into the interior.
